Career Hiring Event

Seniors who plans to go into the workforce next year, HSE is taking interested students to the Hamilton County Career Hiring Event on March 14. If you would like to attend this event, sign up in the Guidance Office by March 6th.

Junior Scholarship

Presbyterian College is offering a $4000 scholarship to a Junior student that meets a certain academic criteria. The qualifying student must be nominated. For more information, please visit Naviance/Scholarships.

Royal Project Runway tickets available

Royal Project Runway tickets are available at lunches for $8, with the show on Thursday Feb. 28th, at 7:00 p.m. in the main cafeteria. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for the silent auction! All proceeds go to HSE-RDM "For the Kids". Come and support your classmates and the kids!

Request a Senior Pennant

Seniors: HSE would like to recognize your decision regarding your post high school plans. When you have made your final decision regarding your pathway, whether it is college, a vocation, or the military, we would love to hear about it. There will be a pennant on display representing your decision in the CCA Foyer. You can find this link on your Canvas, under “Announcements”.

FBI Youth Leadership Academy

The FBI's Youth Leadership Academy is designed to promote an educational experience that will provide students with valuable leadership training and a greater understanding of the FBI. Through experiential learning activities, students will develop skills in communication, trust, team work, goal setting and leadership. Program is July 8 through the July 10, 2019. Greater Indianapolis Northside College Fair

The Greater Indianapolis Northside College Fair will be held on March 13th from 6-8:00 p.m. at Grand Park Events Center at 19000 Grand Park Blvd in Westfield. All students and families are welcome.

College Visits

Purdue Polytechnic Institute Day In College

Purdue Polytechnic Kokomo is hosting on March 1st a day where students can experience a day in college. The student will learn what to expect with each of the programs by participating in hands-on activities. A campus tour and an admissions information session will accompany. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. Must RSVP by Feb. 22nd via email. Techkokomo@purdue.edu. If you need more information please call 765-455-9339.

Uniform Application for Community Scholarships

The Uniform application for Community Scholarships gives you access to 37 scholarships worth over $42,000. These scholarships are offered exclusively to HSE and FHS students, which makes this your best opportunity to receive money for college. All you have to do is complete one application, meet the individual scholarship requirements, and submit the application on time. Deadlines for most o the scholarships are in late March and early April. Scholarship packets are available on the HSE Website or in the Guidance office. The following scholarships are now available: Student Insights Scholarship, Knights of Pythias Education Scholarship, Ceres Solutions Scholarship, Carmel American Legion Scholarship, Beta Sigma PSI Scholarship, Carmel Runners Scholarship, NineStar Scholarship.

Black History Month Scholarship

In honor of Black History Month, Regions Bank is offering 30 Regions Riding Forward Scholarships to high school seniors and college students through a competitive essay contest about inspirational African-Americans. The Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Essay Contest is designed to provide scholarship opportunities for students while celebrating the contributions of African-Americans in all aspects of our society. With our awards this year, Regions will pass the $1 million mark in awarded scholarships to high school and college students through the Contest. UNCF $25,000 Scholarship!
