Calling All Entrepreneurs

The Launch Fishers High School Fellowship’s mission is to discover and develop future entrepreneurs. Students will be chosen to participate in a week long Entrepreneurial Bootcamp hosted by Launch Fishers. At the conclusion of the bootcamp, students will interview to be placed with host companies for a paid summer fellowship that will run from Tuesday, June 11 to Friday, August 2. Class Officer Applications for 19/20 schoolyear

Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors Interested in running for Class Officer next year: applications are available in the Guidance Office and due April 23rd.

Weaving Demonstration

Have you noticed a weird contraption in the Library? Well, it's a loom... a device used to weave yarn into cloth. Weaving can create works of art as well as clothing items. If you'd like to see a demonstration by Mrs. Marsden, our MegaLab supervisor, and learn a little about this historic craft, see Mrs. Foster in the Library for a pass for SMaRT period on Monday, April 22.

Request a Senior Pennant

Seniors: HSE would like to recognize your decision regarding your post high school plans. When you have made your final decision regarding your pathway, whether it is college, a vocation, or the military, we would love to hear about it. There will be a pennant on display representing your decision in the CCA Foyer. You can find this link on your Canvas, under “Announcements”.

Volunteer Opportunities with the Post Office Food Drive

The annual Post Office Food Drive is coming up in May. The Delaware Township office staff has been tasked with preparing 80,000 food donation bags. Students looking for volunteer hours and would want to help fold and staple bags, please call 317-842-8595 to make arrangements. Work will be done at the Delaware Township Office 9090 East 131st Street.

Indiana's Workforce Ready Grant

Indiana's Workforce Ready Grant, provides a new financial aid opportunity for Hoosiers to gain the skills needed to thrive in the 21st century economy. The Workforce Ready Grant provides the opportunity to earn a high-value certificate at Ivy Tech Community College - free of cost to the student. For more information go to IvyTech.edu/nextleveljobs

New SAT prep class

There will be an SAT prep class that will be offered beginning April 22nd. This class will prepare students for the May, June and August SAT. The cost is $100 and the first 50 students that submit their application will be accepted. Applications can be found on the main page of the HSEHS website or in the guidance office.

Interested in Virtual Reality or Machine Learning

Purdue Computer Science Outreach will be offering workshops here at HSE High School this Saturday on Virtual Reality and Machine Learning. Lunch will also be provided for the free workshops which run from 9 am to 1 pm. Sign up today at bit.ly/WorkshopCS

Sports/Club Sports

Boys Lacrosse Host Carmel and Fishers

This weekend come out and support the #4 Royals Boys Lacrosse team as they take on #1 Carmel on Friday night and #12 Fishers on Saturday. Friday night, JV plays at 6:00 with varsity to follow at 8:00pm. Saturday is Youth Night! The U14 travel team will play St. Simon at 5:00. JV will play at 6:00 and Varsity will play cross-town rival Fishers at 7:30. See you there!
