Mr. Royal 2020

National Honor Society would like to take this opportunity to formally invite you INTO THE JUNGLE for the 2020 Mr. Royal. See Tommy Adams, Mitchell Brooks, Rami Daas, Canon Elsbury, Cameron Fowler, Austin Henkel, Quantae Johnson, Sam Kibble, Cam Knurek, Josh Novack, Adam Piera, Emelio Rios-Roias, Chris Stein, Jackson Williams, Tommy Woodring, and Clayton Toner compete for the title of Mr. Royal and impersonate their favorite animal! The show is Thursday January 23rd at 7pm in the Leonard Auditorium. Tickets go on sale this Friday January 17th at lunches. They will be $8 in advance and $10 at the door. All proceeds benefit the National Honor Society. We look forward to seeing you there!

Student Drivers

Beginning 2nd semester, the parking lots are being monitored on a regular basis. Make sure you have purchased and are properly displaying a 2019-2020 HSE student parking tag. If you are found parking without a tag, you will be assessed an additional late fee. Do not park in any visitor or staff parking spots, including those by the greenhouse and surrounding area. Do not park illegally on any striped areas or areas that are not designated student parking spots. Those who violate HSE’s parking rules will be subject to disciplinary action. If you have any questions or need to purchase a parking tag, please go to the Dean’s office or CCA office.

Bulldog Pharmacy Camp

As we are setting in for cold weather, lets talk about next summer! Samford University offers a summer camp in Pharmacy. For more information, please visit Naviance under Enrichment Programs! Deadline Feb. 1, 2020.

Alternative PE information

Freshmen, sophomore and junior winter sport athletes: If you would like to earn one PE credit through participating in your sport, sign up for the Alternative PE class. The electronic application is located on the home page of the HSE website and will be available until January 31 at 3:00 pm. See your guidance counselor for questions.

Scholarship Information

Uniform Application for Community Scholarships OPEN!

For HSEHS and FHS Senior Students Only! Please visit www.hsefoundation.org to view and apply to the 2019-2020 community scholarships. This site allows students to use one uniform online application to apply for as any of the scholarships listed! Deadline March 18, 2020!!

Lugar Scholarship

The Lugar Minority Scholarship is now available in the Guidance and CCA offices. Students must be a minority high school senior, specifically, African American, Hispanic or Native American, have an intention to attend an Indiana college or university, have a 3.0 GPA and have a SAT of 1000 or ACT of 22. Applications are due to the CCA office by 3:15 Friday, January 24th. Please see Mrs. Herndon if you have any questions.
